Prachtige badkamer

Wat een prachtige badkamer gefotografeerd door Anniken Zahl. Mooi met die zeer licht grijs/blauw tinten in de tegels en accenten zwart en bruin in de accessoires. De handgrepen lijken op die van Tine K Home. We hebben er nog een paar op voorraad indien je interesse hebt.

We have a winner! We've received many emails and photos and love the fact that everyone is so creative and enthousiastic about the Rie Elise Larsen paper. Ik wil.....

...zo graag een half uurtje sneupen en shoppen bij Lagerhaus. Een low budget winkel in Zweden. Toen ik in Götenborg was heb ik daar niet zorgvuldig om me heen gekeken wat oh wat zie ik veel leuke grijp dingen op de site. Met name die uil klok, de leuke chocolade repen (zowel groot als klein verpakt) en de grappige vaatdoekjes. 


Don't you get that. That sometimes you would just want to have 30 minutes in a shop in a foreign city to just snoop around and shop little things. I get that when I look at the Lagerhaus website. When I visited Götenborg for the first time I wasn't aware of this shop, otherwise I would have gotten most of the things you see above. Specially the owl clock, the chocolate (large bar and small pieces) and the dish cloths.

Scandinavisch meubel label

Wat een mooie meubels van The Hansen Family. Een label opgericht door Gesa Hensen. Ze maakt gebruik van de vakkennis van haar familie (timmerlieden, ontwerpers en architecten) en het mooie hout wat in Scandinavië voorradig is. De meubels worden allen handgemaakt en ieder item is daardoor uniek. Prachtige meubels en een zeer mooie presentatie.

Great furniture from the The Hansen Family. A label created by Gesa Hensen. She combines new design with the knowledge from her family (carpenters, designers and architects) and the beautiful Scandinavian wood. All the furniture is handmade and therefor each item is unique. Beautiful furniture and a beautiful presentation.

In oh en ah....

Een tijdje geleden schreef ik al over een geweldig leuk poppenhuis wat ik via het blog Dosfamily gespot heb. Nu ben ik op de site terecht gekomen waar veel van de meubeltjes en 'kunst' vandaan komt. Daar zag ik dit Zweedse vakantie huisje waarvan ik toch ook wel volledig in Oh en Ah was. Lundby dollhouses heeft drie modellen huizen en de meest leuke accessoires erbij. Het neuzen op de site is al een feestje. Nu alleen nog even speuren waar deze geweldige spullen te koop zijn.

Some time ago I wrote about a great dollhouse I had spotted on the Dosfamily website. Today I was on the site where the furniture and some of the 'art' comes from. This Swedish summerhouse is one of the models they produce and it got me in oh and ah. Lundy dollhouses has three models of doll houses and the cutest accessories. Just snooping around on their site is a treat. Now all I have to do is figure out where these items can be bought.

Modern landelijk in de keuken

Veel moderne meubels maar toch een warme landelijke sfeer in deze keuken. Door een aantal landelijke accessoires toe te voegen is zo'n resultaat al snel bereikt. Hier is gekozen voor draadmanden, schapenvellen en een oude landelijke tafel bij het aanrecht. Persoonlijk ben ik ook zeer gecharmeerd van de hoogglans witte vloer.

Modern furniture and kitchen in combination with country style accessories makes this beautiful kitchen. Items such as the wooden table, wired baskets and sheepskin are a good contrast with the industrial chairs, lamps and table. Personally I am in love with the shiny white floor.

Kunst from Sweden

Bij Andyland koop je mooie prints en illustraties van Zweedse ontwerpers. Allen geproduceerd in een beperkte oplage en voorzien van een certificaat. Het leuke van Andyland is dat ze all over the world leveren! Dit is een voorbeeld voor een kinderkamer maar ze hebben ook prachtige illustraties en foto's. De site is zeker een bezoekje waard.

When visiting the site of Andyland in Sweden you instantly want to buy! They sell great prints and illustration from several Swedish artist. All in limited edition with a certificate from the artist. The good thing about Andyland is that they ship all over the world. This is an example of a print for a childrens room but they also have great illustrations and photos. Their website is well worth a visit!

Illustratie inspiratie

Het zijn beelden als deze van Hus & Hem waardoor ik zo op zoek ga naar leuke illustraties, posters en prints. De mix van grafisch, kleurrijk, naturel, pentekening maakt het spannend. En door zelfgemaakt en via bijvoorbeeld Etsy te combineren houd je je 'kunstwand' betaalbaar.

It is an image like this one from Hus & Hem that inspires me to look for nice illustrations. The mix of graphic lines, colourful, natural and pencil drawings creates an interesting total. And by the combination of 'home made' and buying at sites like Etsy you keep your art wall affordable.

Mooie illustraties

De laatste tijd ben ik steeds meer op zoek naar mooie illustraties die voor mij persoonlijk iets betekenen. Zo vond ik deze toen ik weer eens na een lange tijd in de etsy shop VOL25 ging kijken. Heel mooi en ook leuk dat ze zoveel geel gebruiken. Dat gaan we komende winter wel meer zien.

Lately I've been looking for nice illustrations that mean something to me personally. I came across these nice items when looking at the VOL25 etsy shop. I love them and it's nice they use soo much yellow. We'll be seeing more of that colour this autumn/winter.

Zomerzon?

Het lijkt erop dat we nog een paar daagjes zon gaan krijgen. Ik moest toen meteen denken aan deze foto van James Merell waar met lekker op een (heel fijn en decoratief) terras ligt te zonnebaden en in de lucht de dreiging van regen hangt.  


It seems we'll get just a few more days of sunshine. Hard to believe after all this rain. It reminded me of a James Merell image I came across the other day. Where people are enjoying a (very nice and decorative) lounge terras while the clouds have gathered over their heads.
