Leuke lampjes

Wat een geweldig leuke lampjes! Gewoon met een frame en houten kralen om het snoer. Soms kan LEUK zo heerlijk EENVOUDIG zijn. 

I love these pendant lamps. Just a frame with wooden beats on the cord. Sometimes PRETTY can come from very SIMPLE things.

De tweede door het doorbreken van de hoogte en de tekst op de derde foto 'In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes'. Hoe waar met al die real life shows en talentenjachten.

Mooi prikbord

Een moodboard hoeft niet altijd een groot (en vaak druk) statement op de muur van bijvoorbeeld je kantoor te zijn. Hier zie je een voorbeeld van de fotografe Mari Eriksson waarbij ze een kleine lijst heeft voorzien van een prikbord en wit canvas. Nu is het mogelijk je favoriete items te verzamelen. Ik ben blij met deze foto's want ik zou er NOOIT op zijn gekomen om madeliefjes te drogen. En nu (okay, volgend jaar) ga ik dit zeker doen.
A moodboard should always be related to your office workspace. You can also make a small moodboard with your favourite items. As this example of photographer Mari Eriksson. I love the little daisy at the top right in the frame. I would have never thought of drying these and you often see lawns covered in them. Next year! Definately!

Een leuk idee

Op de site van fotografe Birgitta Wolfgang Drejer surfend kwam ik deze afbeelding tegen in haar serie Fil de Fer. Wat een grappig idee om in zo'n grote kroonluchter een hangende kandelaar te hangen. Dat doorbreekt het statige van zo'n kroonluchter een beetje. Heel mooi.


When looking at some images on the Birgitta Wolfgang Drejer site I came across this image. It has a chandelier with a little candlestand hanging in it. I thought this was a marvalous idea as it makes the chandelier look a bit less 'formal'. Very nice!

Living in a box

Gitte Kjaer is een styliste die voor diverse woonbladen werkt. Haar stijl is te herkennen aan een open industriële look. Op haar site vond ik dit bijna mini kunstwerk wat ik 'living in a box' heb genoemd. Met zo'n leuke spulletjes (die stoel is geweldig) zou ik ook in een doos gaan wonen. Al zouden vloer en muren bij me een ander kleurtje krijgen, en een raam zou ook welkom zijn...

Gitte Kjaer has a recongnizable industrial style. She is a stylist and works for many magazines. On her website I came across this mini artwork I've named 'living in a box'. When it comes with this type of furniture I would be tempted to live in a box. However, I would redecorate walls and floor and preferably add a window....

Fryd! Online magazine uit Noorwegen

Fryd og Design is het interieur en lifestyle blog van Jeanette Lunde uit Noorwegen. Ze maakt de meest fantastische foto's en heeft een hele lieve en zachte smaak op het gebied van interieur en een gouden hand als het gaat om het vinden van unieke items op rommelmarkten en sites als Epla en Etsy.

Enige tijd geleden heeft ze een online magazine gemaakt. Het Lille Lykke magazine wil nog niet vlotten door tijdgebrek maar deze wil ik jullie niet ontnemen. Met al 40.000 lezers en een tweede nummer in aantocht!

Letters aan de muur

Go Kc. Ik sta regelmatig met letters in mijn hand. Leuk denk ik dan, maar waar ga ik die ophangen of neerzetten? Zo op en boven een klein plankje als gespot in Skona Hem vind ik wel heel erg leuk. Dan had ik laatst bij Loods5 toch die kleine zilveren C moeten kopen. Wat ik ook leuk vind zijn de hele grote letters die ze bij Precious verkopen.

Go Kc. I'm often holding a letter like this in my hand in a shop thinking, ok, I know I like it, but where will I put it? Like this example found in Skona Hem is nice, some on a shelve, some on the wall. Makes me think I should have bought the silver C I was holding at Loods5. What I also like (maybe even more) are the large letters as sold by Precious. 

Bordenrek een keer anders

Ik ben groot fan van het bordenrek voor een kinderkamer gebruikt als boekenrek en speciaal plekje voor je favoriete knuffels. Of in de keuken voor kookboeken. Zo verkoop ik mijn Oliver Furniture bordenrekken ook het meest. Hier een leuk voorbeeld van een groen bordenrekje gebruikt voor een kinderkamer. Behalve dat het functioneel is heb je ook nog een leuk decoratief item in de kamer. Een klassieke win-win situatie zal ik maar zeggen......

I'm a huge fan of the platerack used as a decorative bookstand for a kidsroom or a kitchen with your favourite cook books. This is also how I sell my Oliver Furniture plateracks in my shop. This is a nice example from BoligMagasinet with the platerack used in a kidsroom. Besides being functional it is also decorative.

Swedish Hasbeens!

In de winter ben ik dol op de skerries van Tretron, zo richting de zomer wil ik het liefst Swedish Hasbeens. Mooie klompen in moderne uitvoeringen én verschillende hakhoogten. Een van de 2010 modetrends! En ze hebben ook zo'n ontzettend leuke kindervarianten zoals deze gele 'peep toe' klompjes. Kijk voor de hele collectie en de verkooppunten op de site van Swedish Hasbeens. 

In winter I prefer the Tretorn boots (specially the Skerry), but towards summer my heart starts pounding for the Swedish Hasbeens. Nice clogs in modern style with heels as high as you can walk on (high, sky high, super high). Clogs will be a fashion trend for 2010! And they're also available in a kids version with these cute yellow peep toe clogs. Look for the collection and salespoints on the site of Swedish Hasbeens.

Zoals al eens eerder aangegeven ben ik een Mega fan van de Mega Flute collectie van Royal Copenhagen. Niet om een heel servies van aan te schaffen, maar bijvoorbeeld een paar van de bekers. Hier is de print Mega Flute gebruikt voor een muurschildering. Nu nog uit de losse pols geschilderd maar wie weet een leuk nieuw product voor Royal Copenhagen: muurstickers....


I've propably mentioned it before but I am a Mega fan of the Mega Flute collection by Royal Copenhagen. Not to have a full set on the shelve but to combine with other white/blue china. Here you see the Mega Flute print used as a decoration on the wall. This is painted by hand. Might be a suggestion for a new productline for Royal Copenhagen: wallstickers.....

Fotowand

Deze zwart/wit fotomuur vonden we in de Bolig magasinet. Zelf ben ik geen mega fan van foto muren. Reden daarvoor is dat het snel zo druk is. Echter.... in dit geval is voor iedere foto een zelfde type lijst gebruikt PLUS (en dat is denk ik doorslag gevend) de afmeting van de wand is gelijk aan de afmeting van de boekenkast. 
Daardoor behoud je de rust en balans. Mooi gedaan!


This wall decoration of photos was spotted in Bolig Magasinet. I'm not a big fan of photo walls. They tend to be so unorganized. But I must say this one is very good! By keeping the frames of the same colour and style AND using the measurement of the book cabinet leading for the measurement of the photowall you create a nice repeat. This keeps things balanced. So this wall, I LIKE!

Voorbereidingen pasen

Tuurlijk ben ik nog steeds veel te vroeg. Maar ik ben door die foto van gisteren wel al een beetje in de stemming geraakt. Dus bij het zoeken naar een foto voor vandaag bleef ik bij deze van House of Pictures steken. Leuk om zo'n taartplateau te gebruiken voor een stilleven met bloemen en eieren. Zomaar een ideetje om strak met pasen neer te zetten.

Of course, I'm still way too early with easter posts. However, after yesterday I got in the mood and came across this image from House of Pictures. I just had to share this great idea of decorating flowers and easter eggs on a cake standard. Just a little idea to decorate your home with around easter.

Mini museum

Geen lambrisering maar wel een oog aangename onderbreking van een kale muur, zo zou je deze smalle plankjes kunnen noemen. Mini museum... zou ook een benaming kunnen zijn. In ieder geval heb je met zo'n rand voldoende ruimte om je mooiste spulletjes uit te stallen, zonder daar uitsluitend je vensterbank of schouw voor te gebruiken. Wederom een geweldig Hus & Hem idee.

Lot's to show but a bit hesitant for clutter. Create a small shelve halfway up the wall as shown in this Hus & Hem interior. It gives you enough space to flaunt your precious items and keeps table, fireplace and window shelves nice and empty. It looks just like a mini museum.

Fris voorjaar

Bij het zien van deze foto van Rie Elise Larsen krijg ik helemaal zin in het voorjaar! Frisse kleurtjes en gezellige spulletjes. Het zonnetje wat voorzichtig doorbreekt en naar binnen schijnt. Note: los van kleuren en leuke items is het leuke aan deze kast is dat hij zwevend is, wat een ruimtelijk gevoel geeft.

When looking at this Rie Elise Larsen image I get all excited about spring! Fresh colours and cosy items. A ray of sunlight entering the house. Note: aside from the nice colour scheme and beautiful items the best thing about this cabinet is that it is floating in the air, this gives a much more spacious feel.

Frame it

Een prachtige pastel shot van Mari Eriksson van diverse restanten behang omgetoverd tot mooie schilderijtjes. Ikea verkoopt tegenwoordig de basis frames. Leuke behangetjes zijn online op diverse sites te krijgen. En in veel gevallen wil even de zolder op gaan ook nog wel wat opleveren.

Kerst

Weer zo'n schattige en licht, luchtige kerst decoratie uit de BoBedre. Veel leuke decoraties en inpakpapier van Rie Elise Larsen en hele subtiele kerst decoratie op tafel. Ook de guirlande met slechts lichtjes en her en der een wit uiltje werkt heel goed als sfeermaker.

Kerst bij Royal Copenhagen, altijd weer een feestje om rond te kijken en inspiratie op te doen. Mijn vonst in deze weelde zijn de rood geverde takken uit het bos met gespoten dennenappels. Helemaal leuk!
