For the love of a good vintage poster

Kijkend op mijn Pinterest board 'GREAT ILLUSTRATIONS' kwam ik dit beeld van een vintage poster met een schattig roze bankje tegen. Het huis is van styliste Heather Nette King en stond vermeld op het blog The Design Files. Helaas kom ik zelden zo'n mooie vintage posters van dat formaat tegen. Is me een keer overkomen in Zwitserland waar ik na me te hebben verloofd een mooie poster die ik her en der ter decoratie had gezien als souvenir mee wilde nemen. Helaas was de poster Arosa Girl met z'n 400 euro vrij stevig van prijs en heb ik em achter gelaten. Bij het artikel op het blog The Design Files staat een link en die bracht me op de Australische site Vintage Posters Only. Helaas niet met prijzen vermeld maar wel met een indrukwekkende collectie en posters van formaat. Mocht er een keertje een voorbij komen waarbij ik denk 'OEH!' dan ga ik nog maar eens informeren. Wie niet waagt, wie niet wint.
Looking through my Pinterest board 'GREAT ILLUSTRATIONS' I came across this image by The Design Files of a hallway with a cute pink sofa and an amazing vintage poster (home owner was stylist Heather Nette King). Unfortunately I never come across these posters in real life. And when I do (had it once in Switzerland where I wanted to buy the Arosa Girl poster as we got engaged that week) they are at least 400 euros. I followed the link in the blogpost by The Design Files and that brought me to the Australian site Vintage Posters Only. No prices mentioned there but the collection and measurement of the posters are impressive. Maybe something to look into if I come across a print I just cannot resist.

Met liefde voor vintage ingericht

Dit huis is met heel veel liefde voor mooie oude items ingericht. En ze hebben een prachtige collectie weten te verzamelen! Je ziet ook dat ze niet bang zijn om te experimenteren wat ik erg leuk vind omdat een interieur dan persoonlijk wordt. Blokken op de vloer geschilderd onder de eettafel, de vogelhuisjes met lampjes boven de klepbank en de lampen om het bordenrek bij de kleine tafel. Het ziet eruit als een lekker LEEF huis.

This home is decorated with a great love for vintage items. And I must say, they have a beautiful collection. You can also see that the owners love to experiment with their interior. Something I always love to see as that's when great things happen. The painted blocks in the dining area, the birdhouses with lamps around the window and the lamps around the platerack above the small table. It looks to be a great home to live in.

Schoolbord wand

Hoe leuk is dit voor een kinderkamer. Hang niet gewoon maar 1 schoolbord op maar verzamel een aantal vintage exemplaren en hang deze bij elkaar. Deze kom je nog regelmatig tegen op rommelmarkten, kringloopwinkels of marktplaats. De inspiratie zijn we tegengekomen bij Vintage blog. 

How cute for a childrens room. Don't just put one blackboard on the wall, but combine a few old ones. You find these at garage sails, second hand shops or ebay. This inspiration was found on the Vintage blog.  

Lief en vintage bij Etsy

Deze items kwam ik bij een shopje tegen op Etsy. Zó leuk! De kerst elfjes lijken op hun tenen te lopen, met de blokken maak je gezichtjes (lachend en een beetje sipjes) en de uitroeptekens passen wel bij mij. Soms sta ik ook met handen in mijn zij dingen duidelijk te maken. De dametjes zijn Zweedse kandelaartjes. Die staan ook wel eens op de Mosteranne.dk site en al een tijdje op mijn wish list. 

These items are available on etsy in one shop. I really like all of them very much. The little Christmas elfs seem to be walking around on the tip of their toes. And with the wooden blocks you can make faces (smiling on happy days, a bit down on rainy days) and the explenation marks suit me. I sometimes express my explentation mark visually by holding my hands in my waist. The Swedish candle ladies have been on my list since a long time. They also can be spotted from time to time on Mosteranne.dk.

I would love to let you know which shop it is but I'm still considering putting in an offer myself.....
